The Flower Fields in Carlsbad- 5 things to know before you go

Spring is officially here and what better way to kick it off than a trip to the Carlsbad Flower Fields?! Thank you to the Flower Fields for #hosting us with a beautiful and fun experience. We joined our Mommy Blogger Tribe friends from the Inland Empire and San Diego Tribes.

If you thought that your kids wouldn’t enjoy the flower fields since its “just flowers” think again! This is a great family friendly experience. They have a playground for your littles and so many activities for your grade school kids (mining, bird watching, butterfly garden, flower maze and of course SNACKS hehe) We learned alot about the different types of birds, flowers and even tried to find a 4 leaf clover! & for your teens and college kids, its a great place for IG stories, photos and right next to the Carlsbad Outlets and Windmill Food Hall!

5 Things to know before you go:

  1. Purchase your tickets online: You will have to select your date and time since the capacity is tracked and limited throughout the day. You can get your tickets here at this link: https://wl.seetickets.us/theflowerfields?_ga=2.95398232.596860060.1647794969-1396950451.1647794969&_gac=1.54799833.1647794969.CjwKCAjwoduRBhA4EiwACL5RP8_puO8cQEEuw6oRB-RAUBV8ZQ8ea-Mfz4LZqE_wXa6HBY162_xYPhoCZmkQAvD_BwE
  2. Wear comfy shoes: There is a wagon ride that can drop you to the other side of the fields and pick you up to head back, but you likely will be walking a bit in the dirt to hit the cute photo op areas.
  3. Bring your baby carrier if you have a little one that can’t walk: We didn’t this time. The babes fell asleep and we got a little arm workout in addition to our leg workout 😉 Strollers need to wait at the entrance of the wagon ride and if you’re walking around the fields you’ll have to carry that cute baby the whole way.
  4. Keep the kids’ Stamp Passport on you the whole all the time: My son left his with the stroller and when we walked back there were so many stamp stations that he missed out on. We just had him stamp his brother’s to count for his. Once you complete it, you’ll get a discount on the mining activity!
  5. Go Early and take advantage of photo op areas first!: We went right when it opened and the crowds were minimal. The lines to get our pics with the big chair and other areas were short when we first arrived but by 10:30, the lines doubled.

Every year the Flower Fields open from March-May. Hope you enjoy your time visiting!
